Automated Product Visual Analysis and Network Integrated Video Security
The Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park was established by the Council of Agriculture in Southern Taiwan and forms part of the country's Free Economic Pilot Zones project.
Within the park, greatly loosened restrictions on the flow of goods, people, capital, information and knowledge promote and encourage investment. The park focuses on agricultural biotechnology applications for fish breading, plant breeding, livestock breeding, vaccines, herbs, fertilizers and pesticides.
The park needed to implement two technologies into their systems.
Firstly, an automated imaging system for analyzing and tracking items moving between areas both within the plant and outside to satellite processors.
Secondly, security. This system needed to route surveillance video input through the internal network to the central security center.
This case study takes a deeper look at the issues involved and how we managed to help the park to solve these challenges.
