IEI Introduces 2U and 4U Rack-mounted H.264 Real-Time Video Servers
【Taipei, Taiwan, November 27, 2012】 IEI Technology Corp. (IEI), the global industrial computing innovator, introduced 2U and 4U rack-mounted video servers with Intel® Core™ i7 processor, the HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U. They support HDMI 1080p 60fps real-time video recording by hardware compression SoC. The HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U come with Intel® Core™ i7 processor and 4GB/8GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory to deliver advanced data transmission. The built-in 500GB HDD and one to three 5.25" expansion bay(s) for extra HDD ensure data storage capability.
The HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U are video processing systems for video/audio recording in 1080p 60fps from 6Mbps to 30Mbps bit rate. They feature up to 32 channels of HDMI input supporting real-time recording in H.264/AVC High Profile Level 4.2 format and MPEG-1 Layer II standard used for audio compression at 256kbps. These systems provide real-time encoding for high-density video recording applications. The HDCS-2U supports up to 12 channels of 1080p 60fps video streams while the HDCS-4U supports 32 channels of video streams. The HDCS series allows Intel® Core™ processors, formerly code-named Sandy Bridge, to decode video streams for video analytic applications. The decoding performance depends on CPU or chipset performance.
The HDCS-2U and HDCS-4U feature multi-channel 1080p60 H/W recording, live streaming for preview and playback, and video content analysis or error detection. They are ideal for multiple applications such as video monitoring and log systems, distance education by 1080p60 high quality streaming technology, sport and game broadcasting, and highway traffic status monitoring.
